Office 97 Upgrade

A. Bentley

I have Office 97 upgrade version with Microsoft Works
being a qualifing product. I had no problem installing it
on my old computer when I purchased the software. However,
my new computer did not have Works (it has WordPerfect,
yuk!). I went and purchased Works 7.0 hoping that it would
allow me to install my upgrade. Wrong! It still indicates
that it can't find the required software.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi A.,

Office 97 can't recognize versions of MS Works that
are newer than Office. You'll need to contact
Microsoft through the numbers at http://microsoft.com/worldwide
(800-360-7561 in the U.S.) for a replacement key for
Office 97.
