Office XP SP3 install cannot find PUB.MSI

Stupidly tried to install Office XP SP3 before checking this newsgroup.

The installer asked for Publisher CD-ROM but couldn't find PUB.MSI.

Downloaded the full upgrade package from MS website. It has the same
problem, couldn't find PUB.MSI.

Office XP was included on my Dell (upgrade). My CD-ROM has PUBRET.MSI.

Anybody have any ideas or is this another Gates gotcha?

PUB.MSI is used by an Enterprise verson of Publisher while PUBRET.MSI is a
Retail or OEM release. The problem is that your Publisher installation did
not use your CD for installation. The best way to resolve your problem is
to uninstall the current Publisher installation, and then install from your
CD.
