Onenote Opens in Full Screen

When I open Onenote or click on the icon in my taskbar to create a new
sidenote it always opens in full screen mode with no toolbars showing. I have
to then press f11 to show tools and then reduce the page to note-size before
continuing.

I'm not sure if this is normal behaviour in 2007 but certainly in 2003 when
I clicked on "open new side note" it opened in a small window ready for
typing into.

It should open up in a smaller window with minimal UI, just like in 2003.

Try this: Open up a new Side Note. When it appears in fullscreen mode,
Restore the window and resize/move it to where you want. Then hold down
the Shift key as you click on the red X to close the window.

The next time you open up a new SideNote from the Task Bar, it should now
appear in the same size/location you just set. Not sure how it got that
way in the first place, but resetting it like that should work.

That Shift-clise trick should work with all windows/applications that
appear in funky locations.
