Onenote Templates

Hi, I have onenote 2003. When I go to download onenote templates 2003 I
get this message after it is downloaded, and opened in onenote:

This section is from a later version of onenote and cannot be opened.
Your version cannot load this file, but a converter may be available.
Can someone please tell me why this is?

You're downloading a template made for OneNote2007 and the 2003 edition
can't handle those. Find templates that indicate they are for (or were
made with) OneNote 2003.

The template was for onenote 2003, not 2007???

The template was for onenote 2003, not 2007???

Can you provide a link to the template you downloaded?

Otherwise we're guessing and going round in circles.

Do you have Service Pack 1 for OneNote 2003 installed? That might have
something to do with the problem. (The link you provided indicates
that
it's designed for OneNote 2003 with SP1.)

Yes Steve, I have Service Pack 1 installed. Can you help me?
Please?..

My suggestion simply is to upgrade to ON2003.
ON has has been improved tremendously and compared to the 2007 version
the initial 2003 version - as was the case with many first versions of
MS applications - just seems like a scribble of what a final version
could be.

To quite myself: "He who still uses ON2003 after the availability if
ON2007 punishes himself by the day and by the hour". :) :)

The ways more advanced features and new tools are really worth the
modest price of the fantastic instrument called ON2007.

templates, if you cannot use them??.. Doesn't make sense to me mate!??
What about people like myself who cannot afford the ON2007!

Why do they let people download OneNote 2003 templates? Because there
are still quite a few OneNote 2003 users who can take advantage of them.

I can't tell you off-hand. Next time I have a chance to fire up OneNote
2003 I can try and test it.
