outbound rules not working with Entourage2008 Web Services Edition

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Hi,

in my workflow I used an outbound email rule, which moved all messages I sent over my Exchange account into my Exchange INBOX folder.
After upgrading to the new version of Entourage (V13.0.0), this rule does not work anymore. I tried to re-create it, but just nothing happens after sending an email. It just goes to the Sent Items folder and is not moved to the INBOX as before. Is there a workaround for this situation? Is this a bug or just an error in my installation? Can anyone confirm this behaviour?

Regards
Marco

Did you create the rule under the Exchange tab?

I created the rule under the "Ausgehend" tab (German version). Should be something like "outbound" in the English version

I don't have the EWS version installed to check. In the regular version of
Entourage under Preferences --> Compose, there is an option to ˆ "Save
copies of sent messages in the Sent items folder." Be sure this is
unchecked. It's possible the final version defaults to this and over-rides
your rule.

I just checked that. Funny enough even with this unchecked and rule enabled the outbound mail is stored in Sent Items.
I believe it might just be a bug.

Is there still a way to report bugs on Connect? If yes, you should report it
or use send feedback.

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications or visit

I am experiencing exactly the same problem with "Outgoing" rules after
upgrading to Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition (v13.0.0). Outgoing
rules simply do not run anymore.

Like Marco, I had a rule to copy outgoing messages to my inbox. This
rule worked before the upgrade, but it stopped working after the
upgrade. In trying to diagnose the problem, I have found that I
cannot make any outgoing rules work. Even a simple rule to play a
sound or display a dialog box for each outgoing message fails.

I hope that this is a bug that the Office for Mac team will fix soon.
