Outlook 07 asking for network password

My mother has been using Outlook 07 for quite awhile now. All of a sudden
it's asking for her network password everytime is queries the server for
mail. I followed "Article ID: 290684 Save password setting not retained in
Outlook or Outlook Express" from the help file.

When started in safe mode it still asked for the password. So I backed up
the "Protected Storage System Provider" key and then deleted it like
instructed. Created new user account. It started asking for passwords for
both.

Any ideas?

Oops, sorry.

Vista. Pop3? or webmail?, not totally sure, she is with Verizon and switched
over to Yahoo-Verizon interface. But it was still set up as a Pop3 server for
all this time.

Yes, she does get her mail after several attempts at entering her password,
and it still won't save it after that.

I hate it when I forget vital info like that, thanks for still being nice
enough to help.

What OS? What type of account does she have configured in Outlook? Does her
mail download when she inputs the password?
