Try doing a system restore to a couple of days ago. Start | All
Programs | System Tools...

It won't affect your data and should undo whatever update caused this
issue.

Well, I'm not sure what you're saying you've tried but...was it "Detect
and Repair?" (under the Help Menu)

Also What version of Outlook are you using?

Hmmm...that doesn’t sound good. How long ago did this problem start?
Can you do a system restore back to that point?

Can I join the "happy" company ?
It's been since a blue screen (Windows 7, 64bit) caused by a faultin
device
driver (it seems so to me), that is since one week that Outlook 2007
Enteprise Edition doesn't work anymore. After the blues screen I neede
to
chkdsk /F (it took two hours !), but then the disk is clean.
Outlook 2007 starts then it stops without any (any !) knowledgeabl
message
(... it stopped working.
I uninstalled and re-installed the program twice.
I tried all the suggestions given in this thread.
I created another user on my machine and i tried to open Outlook 200
with "him". I started it without defining any e-mail configuration. Th
crash happens again ! So it doesn't depend on any (eventual) corruptio
of the .ost or .pst fils.
The Microsoft Office Diagnostic says nothing interesting (everythin
looks
OK).
I discovered a file (created during the crash) that contains (amon
others)
the following messages:
Sig[0].Name=Application Name
Sig[0].Value=OUTLOOK.EXE
Sig[1].Name=Application Version
Sig[1].Value=12.0.6212.1000
Sig[2].Name=Application Timestamp
Sig[2].Value=46e03e45
Sig[3].Name=Fault Module Name
Sig[3].Value=ntdll.dll
Sig[4].Name=Fault Module Version
Sig[4].Value=6.1.7600.16385
Sig[5].Name=Fault Module Timestamp
Sig[5].Value=4a5bdb3b
Sig[6].Name=Exception Code
Sig[6].Value=c0000005
Sig[7].Name=Exception Offset
Sig[7].Value=0003c699
How can I recover from that very UNPLEASANT situation ?
Thanks
