Outlook looking for PRORET.MSI...

But I don't have the original MS Office XP CD anymore that it keeps asking
for. This is weird because I use Office 2003, not XP (2002). My friend here
at work has his Office XP CD, but it doesn't have that file either. Monday
our office switched from MS Exchange to POP3 accounts. Since then, several
of us started getting these error messages when opening Outlook and for each
and every email that comes in - which we have had to constantly click cancel.
The rest works fine (both sending & receiving). Everyone's workstation
fixed itself after a day or two...except mine. Having to constantly click
cancel is driving me crazy. How can I get the proret.msi file that it keeps
asking for? (my CD broke.) Or how can I get rid of the message? I have
rebooted, tried both the repair and the reinstall from Control Panel as well
as the Outlook detect & repair function. PLEASE HELP. Thank you!

Brian, Thank you so much for your reply. It actuall has much information
that I will keep for future use. I finally, out of desperation, completely
uninstalled my Office XP which I was keeping, even after my installation of
2003 so that I could do training with my clients using their version of
Office. I was afraid to try to uninstall it without having the disk, just in
case things went terribly wrong, but it uninstalled just fine (thank God!) so
the error messages disappeared.

Thank you so much, though for the link. I looked it over and I'm sure it
will be very helpful. I hope your weekend is a good one.

ALSO, where is the place to mark if a post is helpful to me? I don't see it.
That would be much appreciated. Thank you.
