Hi all,

during the installation of Portfolio 2007 it is possible to install it
using an existing set of databases.... (PPSAccountData and
PPSAccountIndex)...

I have an existing DB and I want to restore it in a new SQL box (in a
different domain) and install a new Portfolio Server...

I have try to restore the SQL datatbases, install the application to
in the new domain...

everithing is going well, but I cannot login into the system... (how
can I login with the SuperUser if the original SuperUser is different
- because was with a different domain...)

How can I change the Super User into the SQL datatbase???

when I try to login I need to insert Account and password... (not user
and password.... this is quite strange......)

is it possible to add a SuperUser in SQL??? is it possible so change
the SuperUser in SQL???

Thanks all...

Prior to copying the databases, try unchecking This user uses integrated
authentication ONLY, especially since you are moving domains in USer
Management.

I usually set up one account that does not require integrated authentication
that has admin privileges so that I can work with PPS on my laptop on a
virtual server.

To create the SuperUser, I have followed the following steps:

- Restore the databases
- Opened the USER table into the AccountData DB
- Added the SuperUser with AccountID = 0
- Added the SuperUser into the ASSIGN_RIGHT table into the AccountData
DB

I hope this can be useful to someone else

Cheers
