Portolio Analyzer disfuntional?

Friends,

I've come to the conclusion that the Portfolio Analyzer (2003) data can not
be trusted, and that the timephased data does not match up with their
correspond task fields.

Besides the fact that if you use MS Project Pro with the option to disable
it from calculating costs, actual costs do not get reported in Portfolio
Analyzer when the their is no work value in the corresponding timephased
period. This is true for 2007 as well (except 2007 SP1), there are other
problems....

Most of the time the values displayed in Project files and Project Center
match up; it is usually the Portfolio Analyzer that is off. There are
exceptions... We have about a half dozen project files we've looked at where
the baseline cost timephased and baseline cost (task) and Project Center view
all differ in the values they report (in a couple of instance the Portfolio
Analyzer BTW shows more baseline cost than the other 2 sources mentioned)!
Also, work and actual work values differ between what we see in Project
Center and the OLAP cube.

I tried all I can think of...republishing, making sure the time frame used
for the OLAP cube, using SP3, etc...

Is there any hope out there?
