PP keeps quitting, won't open

When I try to open PP it sends a message that says it unexpectedly quit. I can't get it to open at all.

I had a similar problem with Word 2008. When I read the error log, it
kept listing "Japanese Proofing Tools". I deleted that file and the
problem was cured. Perhaps it will work with PPT.

Try deleting all the PPT prefs and then restart. That worked for me
when even a reinstallation didn't. I have Office 2001, which runs only
in Classic mode and it seems that if I change the default settings
(especially if I customize the toolbars) these programs tend to quit
either on startup or periodically when I'm using them.
