Printing database model

Arun

Hi All

I am using VISIO 2007 and have created a database model and would like to
print it out with table properties, notes, column properties, information
etc. However when I print I see only a picture of the tables and nothing
about the detailed database properties that I spent so much time entering.

Also how do I build SQL/ make a database with the model I created here?

Is this tool not capable of doing this basic stuff?

Very frustrated!

TIA

Hi Arun,

You must have the Visio for enterprise architects version for generate a
database from you visio drawing and for having more reporting features.

This version comes with Visual Studio 2003 for enterprise architect of with
VS2005 team system for software architect.
These version contains the Visio 2003 for enterprise architect that you will
need.
To my knowledge there is no updated Visio 2007 version for these features.

Regards.

There is also a slightly different version that comes with the VS2005 EA.
They both have the same flaw in that the owners (it's a visio add-in) have
incomplete reporting in the add-in.The other parts are no published api into
the code and saving some of the data in the application where it is
inaccessible.

Thanks guys..

I think I will go back to my ancient VISIO install (2000?). That has the
database stuff built in. So weird that this stuff is stripped off in the
latest release

Ty all. You saved me more grief.
