Progress lines

Hello,

I am preparing the Gantt chart for my project plan and want to draw the
progress lines across the Gantt bar. I am able to show the progress lines on
my Gantt chart, but somwhat it is behaving differently. I have few doubts:

1. I have a summary task that contains 3 sub-tasks and this summary task
shows 40% complete in my normal project view. But in Gantt bar, it displays
the peak on the left most side on the summary bar. As per my understanding it
should display the peak at the 40% level of the summary task.

2. In the Gantt chart view, I see that for some of the tasks, it does not
display the peak. As per my understanding, peak should be displayed on each
task.

Can you please answer these queries please. If it is possible, can you
please share your phone number, so that I can call you and explain you my
problem. I am based at Atlanta in U.S.

Hi Glen,
Thanks a lot for your fast response. I read your reply in my previos posting
on 28th Sept.

Here is the reply to your queries:

1. Version - Microsoft Office Project Standard 2003 (11.1.2004.1707.15) SPI

2. View selected - Gantt Chart

3. Whether created my own view - Yes, I have created my own view by clicking
on Gantt Chart Wizard as I wanted to display the tasks in Red color which are
on the critical path.

4. Yes, Tools -> Options -> Calculation -> calculation mode as Automatic is
selected.

5. Also, Tool->Options->Calculation-> Edits to total task % complete will
be spread to the status date - is also set.

Kindly help me.
