Project 2007 trial version - tracking bug?

R

I downloaded, installed, and activated Project 2007 Professional trial
version. Using the Project Guide toolbar, clicking Track, when I click
"Incorporate progress information into the project," it takes me to a pane
that says "There is no Project Server connection specified," and asks me to
specify one. I had already set up the project to _not_ use Project Server
(and just reverified that). I still have Project 2003 installed, so was able
to check what should happen - after clicking "Incorporate progress into the
project," the Incorporate Progress pane should appear, which allows me to
enter tracking information based on the method I selected earler. In Project
2007 I can't get to that screen - it loops me to "There is no Projedt Server
connection specified." Anyone seen this before? Any workaround? Thank you.
