Project Duration measured in hours and minutes

AggieJack

I have projects that are measured in terms of hours and minutes rather than
days.

How do I get the Gantt chart and PERT chart to display hours and minutes
rather than days ?

You might do a couple of things:

1) In the Gantt Chart, zoom in using the magnifying glass until it shows
the right time scale
2) Tools > Options > Schedule and modify so the default unit is hours
3) Run the Format_Duration macro to change all of the existing displays to
hours

That should achieve what you need.

Note that you can't display hours and minutes, but need to pick if you wish
to display hours or minutes. I.e. 1.5 hours is either "1.5 hours" or "90
minutes," but not "1 hour, 30 minutes."

Hi AggieJack,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You can also change the Date Format in Tools/Options.../View tab to show
hours and minutes of the day.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
