Project Professional 2007

I have Project Professional 2007 on my machine and have by mistake pointed it
to Project Server 2003. To make things worse I set it as default. When the
project starts I get immediately an error message askiing me to restart the
application, so at this point I cannot remove the project server account. I
deinstalled the application and reinstalled it but the error did not go away
at all. Is there a way to start project in some type of safe mode where I
could select the connection state?

Thank you for your help!

The solution is to start project from a command prompt with

winproj.exe -ProjectProfiles

This forces project to start and open immediately Project Server Accounts
dialog box in which one can remove the connection to the 2003 server.

Or you can just point to Start -> (All) Programs -> Microsoft Office ->
Microsoft Office Tools -> Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 Accounts ;)

Anywho, to avoid such problems, I always recommend setting the weirdly named
"manualy control connection state" option in the Project Server Acounts
dialog box - it makes Project pop up a nice little account chooser on startup.

Tomasz.
