MS Project 2003 (11.2.2005.1801.15) SP2 Project Server 2003 SP2

When this project is open from project server the message belows appears:
"<>\projectname" should be opened as read-only unless changes to it must be
saved. Do you want to open the file as read only?

Why do I get this message?

Hi Spunky,
it is likely that the project you want to open is "checked out". Please make
sure that no other user uses the Project Schedule. If it is still checked
out, go to the Project Center within PWA and click on "Check in my Projects"
link. ( I assume you are the Project Manager to this project). Once you check
the project in, you should be able to open it in Project Professional.
Hope this helps

Or check if the tasks defined in the project you opened have external
dependencies (Predecessors) to other projects. The notation "<>\" indicates
that it is referencing another project.
