Projects always showing as Checked Out

Any idea why the status almost always remains ‘checked out’ even though I
always check my projects in when I close MS Project? Am I doing something
wrong?

I've cleared cache.

Moe --

This is a recurring problem that Microsoft simply has not fully resolved
yet, either through a Service Pack or Cumulative Update. Have you actually
tried manually deleting the contents of the Local Project Cache using the
following steps:

1. Click Start - Run.

2. In the Run dialog, enter the following text string and click the OK
button:

%appdata%

3. Navigate to the following folder:

Microsoft\MS Project\Cache

4. Delete everything in that folder (both files and folders).

moe, you will need to ensure that you have service pack 2 and August
cumulative update installed. It is likely that you have this issue due to
local cash bugs which have been (mostly) resolved in the latest SP.
