PWA Access on Windows 2008 and SQL 2008

Hello Community:
I need some help on the following issue:
I recently moved PS2007´s Databases from Win2003, SQL 2005 to Win2008 Server
and SQL 2008. After a few intents of installing the system I got everything
working on the Intranet. The problem is with Internet Access. I cannot get
PWA to load correctly. I log in with no problem but the ActiveX for Project
Center and Resource Center do not load and give errors. I researched a bit
and there are some suggestion pointing to "time outs" with SQL and some
instructions to change the "compression" settings in IIS.
If there is some experiense with these issues in the community, it will be
are very welcome!
I don´t feel that reinstalling everything will take me anywhere (I have done
it in the pass to no avail).
My system settings are Windows 2008 Entreprise, SQL 2008 Enterprise,
SharePoint SP2, Project Server SP2, Language Service Pack SP2.

As I mentioned above, everything is working fine over the Intranet and I do
have access to PWA.

Regards,

Luis.-

Hi Andre,

I am not using WinServer2008R2. I will try SQL 2008 on Win2003 x64 and see
how it goes. My main server is on Win2008 and everything else works fine.
I had some issues when installing the sequence MOSS+ Project Server on
Win2008/SQL2008 because of the service packs. I got everything working fine
on the Intranet unfortunatelly that is of no use to us.

I´ll wait a bit longer before giving up entirely.

regards,
luis.-

Hi Luis

I hit the same problem. The solution is to change an IIS setting for
the Office Server Web Services site.
In the IIS section there is a "Compression" icon. Open this then
uncheck option "Enable dynamic content compression".
I owe this technical nugget to my colleague Steve.
