Hi All,

I set RBS like this:
Director
Senior Manager
Manager
Staff
If i set Senior Manager & Manager become Project Manager they can view all
resource in resource center including Director, but when i set manager become
team member in project, he/she can only see staff resource in resource center?
how to make that manager who become team member can view all resource in
resource center?
2. How to set PM can only see his/her project resources in resource center?

PS 2003 or PS 2007? My experience is PS 2003.

By "set ... become Project Manager ...", do you mean you made them
members of the Project Manager Group?. Same question for "Manager ... Team
Member".

It is likely that the security categories for the two groups are at
cross-purposes, and you will probably find the the security category for Team
Member has "Deny" checked for one or more Resource Center permissions. A
"Deny" supercedes all other permissions anywhere!

Regards the question about project resources in Resource Center, I don't
think that is possible, at least as I understand your wishes. I think Project
Center would be the place to look for that view.

What version of PS are you using?

I'm not quite following what you're saying - you setup the RBS and put
your resources on certain levels. Just be aware that this isn't an
alternative to using Categories and Security Groups, it merely adds to
them. So you need to setup the RBS, and then people will also be
members of groups. Again, i'm not really sure how you have things
setup...

Regarding #2, This could be done but it will complicate things. What
I would do in PS07 is create a new category and select the checbox
under "Resources" for "They are members of a Project Team on a project
owned by the User". Then add the Project Managers group to the
category and set the category permissions for the group. I believe
this will do what you are asking to see.

Sorry not giving you details.
I'm using PS 2007.
If i set Manager member of PM Group, they can view all resources (Director,
SM, Man and Staff) in Resource Center, but if I set Manager member of Team
member, they can only view resources for Staff.
And how to make PM can only see their resources....
