Steve Franks

When I try to run Scanpst it says:
The procedure entry point DDLUninitinstance@0 could not be located in the
dynamic link library MSMAPI32.dll
Can anyone please tell me how I fix this?
Thanks

Sorry, I realised that I'd forgotten to mention it, just after pressing submit.
Doesn't that always happen?
It's Office 2007.

Check the version of that file on your system. It should be 12.x (meaning
version 12 with some other less significant digits)

Thanks for your help, it is the right version, however there are two versions
of Scanpst on my PC. One in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12 and
the other in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033.
I obviously used the latter last time, because the one in Office12 works.

Outlook uses the MSMAPI32.dll file for purposes like running the Inbox Repai
Tool. Since it is automatically installed with Microsoft Outlook, fault
installation of Outlook bars scanpst.exe to install properly and also does no
allow it to function properly. In such situations you get error messages lik
the one mentioned. You can use a third party tool to get rid of the <a href
"http://www.scanpstexe.biz">scanpst.exe</a> error.

In order to repair the corrupt Outlook PST files, Outlook provides you an
in-built Inbox repair tool known as Scanpst.exe tool. however if it fails
to accomplish severely corrupted PST files, use third party PST repair
software.

Are you unable to fix your PST errors with Scanpst.exe utility? It’s timeto try Kernel for Outlook PST repair. The tool repairs your corrupt PST file within minutes and all the mail items are recovered. You do not need anybackup file for recovery and every email feature like emails, attachments, drafts, calendars, contacts, journal, tasks, notes are easily recovered.

scanpst.exe didn't work each and every time. If you are unable to open yourPST files or you suspect that your PST data file is corrupted, you can useRecoveryFix for PST recovery to diagnose and repair the errors with PST file. This tool will thoroughly scan the damaged, corrupt or inaccessible file to diagnose the fault and to repair the corrupt PST file. The good thing is that it leaves the original file intact and makes a new working PST filewith all the recovered data and same file name. To know more about tool visit http://www.scanpstfile.com/

Hi...

When my Outlook 2007 PST files was about to exceed the maximum size limit,
I thought to archive it. But while archiving due to sudden power failure
the process got interrupted and lead to corruption of PST file.

I thought to repair Outlook 2007 archive PST file by using inbuilt repair
tool, but it too failed to repair it. One of my friend suggested to use
PST File Repair tool.

To know its working procedure verify below links:
