Sharing word docs with hyperlinks between Macs and PCs

Hi there, any ideas to solve the following problem are much appreciated. I have a folder on my desktop that contains a word document and an Endnote library, complete with attached PDF files of the references. Within the word document I provide hyperlinks to the original PDFs of the references, to make it easy for readers to see the original articles. I have set up the hyperlinks as relative hyperlinks. I have no problems sharing the whole folder with Mac users. However, when PC using friends download the folder (complete with word doc and Endnote library) and open the word document, the hyperlinks no longer work. Does anyone have any ideas how to preserve the hyperlinks when sharing from Mac to PC? I have tried to also use a disk image, but that also doesn't work on PCs. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks.

I believe your best bet is to have all target files in the same folder as
the doc containing the hyperlinks & do so before creating the links. When
ready, send the entire folder to the recipient.

If Taz info doesn't work. Try using .zip which PC's can see and send
entire folder you can make an archive of the entire folder directly
from desktop.

Thanks very much for your help. It seems to have worked putting everything into one folder (on the desktop), setting up the links, and then sending a zipped folder. The other small confusing thing was that the PC users have to control click to get the link, rather than just left clicking as on the Mac.

Once again, thanks very much.

That's a user-settable option on the PC. Tell them to look it up in their
Help file :)

Cheers
