stop access 2003 from looking at floppy disk unless asked

I opened an Access 2003 database from a floppy disk by double clicking on the
file. Now, whenever I open ANY database file, even from the hard drive, the
program insists on looking at the floppy drive even after the file is already
open. How do I stop Access, (or could it be Windows?) from looking at the
floppy drive unless it is asked to?

It likely windows + applications that look for shared drives.

If you floppy drive is shared..then this will occur.

Check if your floppy drive is shared..and un-share it...
