Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop When I try to synchronise my entourage calendar with my blackberry the process seeks to delete all expired/past events on the entourage calendar.
In entourage general preferences the box is ticked for delete non recurring events over 12 months, the sync services is checked to enable address book, ical and mobile me..
In ical advanced settings no boxes are checked for deletions.
In isync preferences enable synching and show date alert when changes more than 25% are checked
In Blackberry desk manager calendar settings are set to synch calendars with Entourage. Advanced settings are synch all events
On the blackberry device calendar settings are set to keep appointments forever.
How can I resolve this problem so that past events are retained within the entourage calendar system..

My guess is this is a setting on your handheld. Go into BlackBerry
calendar prefs and make sure you don't have enbabled delete after 30
days which is the default. Change to keep forever. The BlackBerry has
a memory issue especially depending on your device so watch you system
memory.

Kerry,
Many thanks for this tip. I had already reset the time preference for retention to 'forever'. It still seems that the device wants to ditch past events. I have just tried 'Replace all events on this blackberry' and this appears to have worked. It was obviously 'locked into a cycle' no matter what was done.
Many thanks for your help.
