The insert Symbol DOES NOT WORK on ALL office 2003 programs

When I select Insert > Symbol the select Symbol window opens and I am able
to change the font selection. The font character change in the window
display window.

BUT I can not change or select a new font or Icon. Even if I click on any
one the click does not change the selection. I tried “Detect and Repairâ€
with no success.

I hope you can help me.

If you can click on Insert | Symbol, and see the symbols, but
cannot select one, then it's usually because you've enabled the
x-mouse feature in TweakUI and it is interfering with the Insert
| Symbol function.

Disable the x-mouse feature in TweakUI. It isn't a supported utility.
