unrecognized database format

Upgraded from Access 2003 to 2007, Many VBA programs. Connectstring modified
for accdb extension and database saved in new format.

Database tables are all manually accessible and they look fine but VBA
programs generate message "unrecognized database format" when attempting to
open a connection to the database.

Original 2003 version of the database and programs works fine using old mdb
extension in the connectstring.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

OK - figured it out - sorry for the unnecessary posting

Not a problem but what was the cause? Attempting to open an A2007
file from within A2003?

I had the wrong connect string because I was still using the Jet engine. Just
a comment - none of the documents describing changes in Access 2007 mention
the new database engine and none of the help files are updated. All of the
help screens I found talk about .mdb and jet 4.0.

It's the sort of thing that should probably be written right on the front of
the package - "VBA programmers note: ..."

But it was easy to find because many other people have had the same problem.

It's a complex set of products and overall Microsoft does terriffic job.
