Using Access to create reports of a FileMaker Pro DB

B

Ben Howard

I have a customer who is using Filemaker Pro. They cannot move off it as
they have lots of MAC users inputting data into the DB. However, my customer
wants to have the versitility of writing reports in Access that query the
Filemaker DB. Assuming that they can get network connectivity to the
database, is it possible to write Access reports that query the filemaker db.
I would rather not export the DB and import to Access. Would an ODBC
connection work?

I am unaware of any drivers that will let ACCESS connect to FMP's "tables".
You'll likely will need to export the FMB data to .csv files, and then let
ACCESS read those files and run reports from those data.
