vb to capture info between linked plans

Chris

Hey all,

I have 2 plans - a programme plan with milestone data (start / finish /
baseline finish) and a detailed project plan which has been baselined.

I have linked tasks from the project plan to related milestones in the
programme plan. What I would like to do is link the project plan baseline
information to the programme plan and associated milestones. It is not the
same to baseline specific tasks in the programme because the two baseline
dates can become disjointed.

Any help appreciated

Hi Chris,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I don't think you can link baseline dates. However, as, by
definition, these dates shouldn't change, you could just copy/past
them.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be
seen at this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Chris,

I've tried to get some automation on this but ran in to some problems
on the following thread.

http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.project.server/browse_thread/thread/97dfc29d23a589e7

I've used process to work around these issues.

Yours could be a similar process but with paste-linking from the
baseline cells rather than the actual finish cells.

Hope it's useful.

Paul
