Visio Viewer

I have a chart of a cabinets contents linked to my database. When it is
opened with Visio Viewer however it does not refresh the data. Any
sugestions on this; I do not want to open the file for every change in the
cabinet. The end user is the one that needs to see the change when opened
with the Viewer.

Any database link refreshes are done in Visio - the Viewer will not do this.
You need to open in Visio, refresh and save whenever the database changes.

You could have Visio open all the time, with the databse refreshing
periodically, and a little code to automatically save whenever the refresh
happens.

install Visio pro for each of your users. They can then do the refresh
themselves.

Not everyone adding data to the database will open and update, and I did not
want to give that kind of control to the end user. Because of the people
accessing this I need it to update on open. Maybe if I put it on my
Christmas list Bill will add update on open to the Viewer this year.
