What causes whole hours to change to decimals?

A

Adrienne

PWA 2007, server and client patched up to and including the December
Cumulative Update.

For example:

1. Status manager accepts actuals:

Monday: 8h
Tuesday: 4h
Wednesday: 8h
Thursday: 8h
Friday: 8h

2. After actuals are accepted, actuals change to:
Monday: 4.13h
Tuesday: 6.05
Wednesday: 9.82
Thursday: 8h
Friday: 4.12

Where exactly should I begin to troubleshoot this? Does this appear to be a
server side issue or could something be wrong with a project plan?

Thanks in advance for any input you can give on this issue.

The December CU was to have fixed an issue with FNET constraints affecting
work being applied correctly to tasks. Check the schedules for too many
constraints. The scheduling engine algorithm was having issues with these in
particular.

Adrenne:

You should have your server patched to the latest level, which is December
Cumulative Update that Sean mentions in his post. Furthermore, you should
know that there are a couple of little bugs remaining that the product team
is working on fixing now, that can cause this to happen even after applying
the latest updates. Expect these to be resolved in the April CU release.

The server is patched up to and including the December Cumulative Update.

In the meantime, can these actuals be fixed? If so, what is the best way to
fix them?

Adrienne,
I see you didn't get any answer to your last post.
I have the same problem, and I recover the original actual values by going
to the status manager "Task updates" page, click on Go To > Applied Requests
and Errors , click on the problematic taks, and there I can see the origianl
value.
The easy way to correct the actuals is from Task usage view (after deselect
the "Restrict updates..." on Server Settings > Task setting and display),
save and publish.
Gil.
