Hi All,
'Project cannot solve the overallocation for 'Michele' on 10 Jan '11.'
Resource leveling gives this error. I have 7 tasks scheduled for the
10th that add up to 4 hours total. I'm the only resource for each
task at 100% units. I tried leveling using hour by hour, minute by
minute ... all the options with no change.
I'm using my own base calendar called my own name. My working hours
on the 10th are 10am-1pm and 2pm-7pm. This gives a total of 7 working
hours, which is 3 hours less than the total of all the tasks for the
day.
Gantt view shows the 7 tasks nicely lined up without overlap in the
hours timescale.
Resource Usage view shows my total hours at 4 for the day. 4 is not
in red, although another day is overallocated and shows in red.
I'm puzzled. What could I be missing?
Thanks a bunch,
Michele
P.S. - I know this seems like a silly waste of time for 4 hours, but
my goal is learning how to use Project not really to make a schedule.
