Windows 7 and Access 2003

Jonathan

Hi, running an Access 2003 application the runs on WindowsXP and not Windows
7.

error 3035 system resource exceeded
error 2004 there isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close
unneeded programs and try the operation again.

This occurs when navigating a complex tab form with 180,000 records.

As this application runs in WindowsXP on the same machine, is there a
setting in Windows7 that is somehow restricting Access?

Any ideas appreciated :)

Many thanks,
Jonathan

This occurs when navigating a complex tab form with 180,000
records.

Why would anyone ever do that? No user can ever comprehend 180K
records at once.

You need to change the tab form to load only the records the user is
working with at the moment. That could be 1 or a few dozen records,
but binding to the whole table is a rookie mistake -- granted, one
that is encouraged by the Access sample databases, but a mistake,
nonetheless.
