Windows Mail set up error

Trying to set up connection to google mail to access it in Windows Mail, I
am getting the following error message: The connection to the server has
failed. Account: 'pop.gmail.com (1)', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol:
POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number:
0x800CCC0E

Any suggestions?

Sorry, you've posted this to a newsgroup related to Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be better off reposting to a newsgroup related to Windows Mail, such
as microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail
