Wrap text around photos

M

Maridee

I'm working in Word 2003, and I'm trying to wrap text around a couple of
photos. My photos and my text boxes are both set to tight wrapping, but the
text won't wrap. I've looked at the microsoft web site help, and their
suggestions don't work either.

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you're trying to wrap text around a picture inside a text box, this can't
be done, as the text box is already in the drawing layer.

The picture has actually been inserted by itself, not inside the text box.
They're each separate components. Does that make sense? But I still can't get
it to wrap.

Unfortunately, the same principles apply. Word 2007 offers some new wrinkles
in Tight text box wrapping (see
http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/msoffice/?p=629), but I don't think
they're helpful here, since they involve wrapping text around text box
content and not the other way around.

Do you really need to be using text boxes? Is there some reason you're not
just using ordinary inline text?

Well, I'm doing a newsletter, so I need to have columns. Also, each different
section has its own header, and I don't know of a way to do all of that with
regular inline text (besides just using the paragraph/return key to space
things over to where you want them to be, which usually ends up being a
mess). Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for trying to help me!
