Hi, why is it that when i insert a pound sign, and check the preview i get
the following character before the pound sign:

Â

so it would preview as: £20.00

can anyone help.

That's interesting because the same thing happened to me when I inserted a copyright sign © but it displayed O.K. in Normal and Preview and when opened in IE. What does yours look to you?

When I look at the code in hex it is C2 (C2 is the  and A9 is the ©)
