Hi:

I have a new one server install which throws the following project server
error (Project Server 2003 SP1). I applied hot fix 896103 (March 18, 2005) on
the test server but am now getting application crashes. The following error
occurs on both production and test server:

Error Number: 0x80040e2f
Description: <Description><![CDATA[Assert Detected. The error code was also
included.]]></Description>

'MSP_VIEW_PROJ_TASKSPLITS' with unique index
'PK_MSP_VIEW_PROJ_TASKSPLITS'.]]></Description>

Christine,
The March hotfix usually fixes this problem. Did you extract and install
the files and run all of the SQL scripts?

If you did the complete installation, what application error are you
receiving on your test server?

Thank you, Ed, for your interest in this problem. I have a PDS error and also
the same Ox800040e2f. The installation was complete. I am also receiving a
COM Surrogate error.
