1 line is a 400 line gantt chart won't show. why?

I have a work schedule sent to me by my boss. One line of the gantt chart
won't show up.
We've taken out the information and reinserted it, being careful to make
sure we formatted and input the information the same as on the rest of them.
It still won't show up.
I've been told this is a known quirk in Project but cannot find it in the
software 'how-to' book we have.
What's the workaround?

When you say the line does not show up I assume you mean the Gantt Bar.
Did you check Project/Task Information/General Tab to be sure the option
to "hide task bar" is not checked?
