1 resource per task

I recently took over an existing Project Server 2003 configuration as
administrator. The existing project plan template was already created
in a manner so that only 1 resource is assigned to 1 task. For
instance, if 1 task requires 5 resources, the task is listed separately
5 times with a single resource assigned to each task.

Does anyone know if there are issues to assigning multiple resources on
a task which would have caused the template to be created in this
manner?

Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mickey

The only issue is a knowledge and training one!! Project supports multiple
resource assignments on each task. People do get lost when editing
assignments when they don't understand how Project works properly to the
point where some people do impose a 1 resource per task limit.

Thanks, Rod...

Actually, I realize that MS Project can handle multiple resources on
one task. However, my question is really related to Project Server
2003. I realize that there are issues with delegation and having
multiple resources on one task within Project Server.

Given the usage of Project Server 2003, I am trying to figure out if
there are any other issues/reasons for keeping only a single resource
on each task.

Any additional input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mickey
