-192 error occurs in 10.1.6 ... not fixed in Tiger?

We recently updated Office X on our iMac (running Mac OS X 10.4.2). We
had NOT had any -192 errors when using Office and Entourage updated to
10.1.3. Our system config is very normal. Epson printer is only USB
device connected other than KYB/mouse, no firewire, wired Ethernet to
linksys router.

Shortly after upgrade to 10.1.6 (from 10.1.3), we got our first -192
error. It is very specific to certain emails. In particular today, I
received an email flyer from www.microcenter.com. When I opened it,
-192 happened. I FQ'd/relaunched Entourage twice to confirm. Then I
FQ'd, relaunched Entourage and tossed the offending email (by throwing
it away at the same time as another email). I could then operate
Entourage as normal. The microcenter email is full of HTML and
displays a bunch of in store coupons. I hadn't noticed in the past
whether their emails cause -192 or not.

I also noticed that when this -192 error occurs, rolling the mouse
pointer over any of the Mail, Address Book, Calendar icons in the upper
left main window of Entourage turns the icon the old OS 9 grayed out
pixel look (no we don't use Classic, its off).

So, I don't think -192 is really fixed, at least not for OSX Tiger, not
for us. And I still have an unblemished track record of never
successfully upgrading an installed ms product more than a year after
purchase.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Maybe its about time to punt and move to Mail
or Thunderbird.

He probably rebuilt the Entourage database. Instructions are in the
"Help" screens. However...

I've been fighting this problem for over a year now and it's driving me
nuts. The "Rebuild" doesn't really fix it - the problem is extremely
unpredictable and many things APPEAR to work.

The only thing that I've found that really does eliminate the problem
is to go to Mail and News prefs (Read tab) and uncheck the HTML box for
Network Access. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the way Entourage
works with the box unchecked so I've been living with the problem.

Good luck.
