2 Project Servers 2007, how to see user's availability

O

OK

We have 2 Project Servers 2007 for different departments and there is a need
to see availability for users on both servers.

For example, 1 user is a team member on the 1 PS, he has some tasks on it.
But Project manager from another PS wishes to know his availability to
involve him in a project on another server. This user is a team member on
another server as well.

Is it possible ? Or it's only the way to have 1 corporate Project Server.
But we can't because Custom fields are different for different departments.

There is no default way to see resource availability across two Project
Server 2007 instances. Because of this need, I question why you opted to
use two instances, even with the custom fields requirement. The best I can
offer is that you might be able to get the availability information using a
third-party reporting tool such as SQL Reporting Services or Crystal
Reports. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale !
I see, but as I undersood the best way to implement Project is to install it
as 1 instance and integrate it with the existing SharePoint Portal Server
2007 (big farm)
And even for several departments it will be a good solution?
