I gather you do formatting in preparation for professional
service-provider publishing. Do you use TTF for that purpose? Or
what? Thanks.

Yes, but I provide CRC only in most cases, so the electronic characteristics
of the fonts are irrelevant.

If you're creating documents for professional printing, for some purposes
you MUST use Type 1 fonts rather than TTF. Some graphics programs -- like
PageMaker and Corel -- have the option of hiding the TTF fonts completely.
