2000 Access Runtime Vs. 2003 Access Normal

I am trying to find a way for these two "different" apps to play nice
on one computer.

Main database uses 2000 Access in a Runtime version (don't ask, I have
no control over this). This also installs software for Dymo Labels.

I use 2003 Access for normal day-to-day things. I can use both, but I
don't have Dymo Labels (they're for Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse
functions)

I have had to build some tools for use that the Main Database does not
have. I keep these in a .mdb file for now (saved in 2000 file
format).

These two apps cannot be open on the same machine if the user needs to
print out Dymo Labels. It gives a run-time error (then I have to
reinstall the run-time so that the labels will work again)

Any thoughts on how to make my tool made with 2003 not mess up run-
time for 2000?

and for the record-- if you're trying to use two versions of Access
and it's opening it with the wrong version-- then put shortcuts in
your sendTo directory for each version of MS Access
