2002 MS Outlook "enter network password" appears overnight

the past few weeks at 4am my Outlook gets the window " enter network password
" appears and stops receiving emails.. I am not on a corporate network, just
desktop, and there is no scheduled maintenance. I have done the MS support
#290684 fix, but still having this problem.
