2003 Server read-only warning

We have been using 2003 Server SP2 for a few years, and I am seeing a
brand-new pop-up window when I open a project. It states
"<>\ProjectName.Published should be opened as read-only unless changes to it
must be saved. Do you want to open it read-only? Yes No Cancel". This only
happens on one of many many projects.

The project is not checked out, or we would not be able to select it in
read/write mode in the first place.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and how we can get rid of it?

Are you the listed owner of the project? Project will give this prompt when
opening projects that belong to others.

Thanks for getting back to me.

We are using a shared ID. When I use that ID, I get the message. When the
individual who created it opens, he gets the same message as well.
