Hello,
I am running PS and WSS on same box running W2003 Enterprise Server and SQL
on another server, both on same domain in enterprise configuration. Client
running on W2k/SP3, IE6/SP1 and ProjPro2003.
When I access the document page form PWA and open the a Word or Excel and
use the discussion tool bar, appears an authentication box, even for the WSS
Administrator. Moreover, when I close the document, the discussion toolbar
still remains on screen.
It looks that when you log as WSS Administrator, it is possible to discuss
documents and libraries. That is the only explanation I have to keep the
discussion toolbar active after closing the document. I can see all
discussions on all documents. After that, every action on WSS pages appears
the authentication box until I close the discussion bar.
I already checked for:
a) the WSSAdmin account belongs to local administrator group.
b) he is db_creator on WSS database and system admin in SQL Server.
c) PSCOM+ is running with this user.
d) the server is in the trusted site list.
e) I run the proxycfg even it was not necessary.
f) On IE6 bypass proxy server box is checked.
Any suggestions?
