2007: app 40 template problem

R

Ryan Rupert

-on MOSS 2007 and Project 2007 server, I have installed one of the app 40
templates "project tracking workspace
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...91-4D6B-4382-A415-0F8D3080DFC1&displaylang=en
-it installed just fine but when I create a site from this template, some of
the key components are missing and it looks just like one of the built in
sites for a project workspace
-it should have the Lists and Libraries unique to it along with some unique
web parts, I know I installed correctly, what the heck could be going on

Ryan:

In what way does this question to relate to Project Server? You must use the
template that ships with Project Server as your base template for Project
Workspaces. If you're having problems with site templates that shipped with
WSS or MOSS, you should ask questions about them in the appropriate
newsgroup.

I had understood that the "project tracking workspace" template would
"rollup" data from subsite project workspace sites, but, I may have been
wrong, this app template may not be beneficial if you are running Project
Server 2007, it may have been designed to help WSS and MOSS users work on
"light" projects, if the rollup is legitimated, then it is relevant to
project server
-you are correct though, better to post on Sharepoint list
