2007 compatibility pack

Hi Neil,

Are the Excel .xlsx files from the release version of Excel 2007 or from one of the earlier beta versions of Excel/Office 2007?

Has any one tried the compatibility pack from
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101686761033.aspx I have been
able to open word files in 2003 with the docx extn, but I'm having trouble
with excel files. I get the message "conversion failed".

Any ideas anyone.

Hi Bob,
They are the Beta 2 Technical refresh version. I read about that already so
made sure the files for word & excel had been saved in that version. Word
files are fine and I get the option to "save as" if I right click on either
word or excel files in explorer. (using XP with Office 2003)
