2007 Crashing After Inbox Repair

Hello all,

I'm having recurring and escalating difficulties with Outlook. Earlier this
month, I posted to say that Outlook was trying to send the save message over
and over again - in an endless loop. It was suggested that I use scanpst.exe
and also the Office Diagnostics. I did both of these things.

Office Diagnostics did nothing. Neither did the supplemental help on the
web. When I ran scanpst.exe, the tool noted that there were repairs necessary
so I clicked repair and everything was fine for about two weeks. Late last
night, the problem was back.

I deleted the offending message (with pdf attachment), shut down Outllok and
ran scanpst.exe again. Again it said there repairs necessary. I clicked Yes
and said OK when it wanted to overwrite the backup file.

Once it completed the cycle, I ran a test. I started an email message to the
person and copied the text of the message from the previously deleted
message, added the attachment, selected the email recipient (and cc) using
the "To" button, and clicked Send. The problem instantly returned.

I tried one more test. I did everything exactly the same way as noted in the
previous paragraph (I had a hunch) except I manually typed in the email
address in the "To" and "Cc" fields, hit Send and crossed my fingers. This
messsage went out immediately without a hitch.

After this long-winded description my question is: Am I right to assume the
proble is in selecting the recipient's address from my Address Book and if
so, how can I fix the problem - permanently.

Thanks for "listening."

Regards,
Bill
