2007 formats question please

I use Office 2007, many of my associates use 2003 so I save in that file
format. Obviously I gain the advantage of them being able to use my files.
My question is, what if anything do I lose by not using the 2007 formats?

In certain instances 2007 format is smaller
In 2003 you can install the compatibility pack, which enables a 2003 user to
view later format files

Thanks. The compatability pack will only let them view but not edit 2007
files, correct?

They will be able to edit, but only with the capabilities of the 2003
version program.

But the compatibility pack will add the fonts found in 2007 but not in
2003... (AFAIK....)
