I have installed the subject version and now find I cannot view FAXES
because there is no Default Viewer .tif files.

What have I done wrong?

I was asking which particular application, not the name of an entire
suite of applications. I'm going to guess that you mean the Microsoft
Office Document Imaging application in Office 2003. Microsoft Office
Document Imaging is an optionally installed feature in Office 2007.
Just add the feature to your installation as described at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA012340671033.aspx . You'll
find the feature in the Office Tools category.
